**IMPORTANT SERVER NEWS**

Due to some rather unreliable and incompetent server hosting, Ausracesports will be closing its server within the next 24hrs.

It had unfortunately reached the point of not being manageble, or even accessible with current providers and as such the decision to discontinue the service with this provider was made.

Whether ausracesports is continued with a new provider is yet to be decided, and will in part depend on what options are available, as LFS hosting ...

Was playing a bit of rfactor on weekend and for once took part in some of its online action, and i must say that for once i actually had a blast. Was mainly using the Renault Megane mod on a UK based server.

So i was wondering if any of the ausracesports users played any rfactor and if so, what mods and servers are you using?

I also downloaded the V8factor mod as well as some stockcar action with TPSSC though there doesnt seem to be any servers online now for TPSCC, and appears everyone ...

Heres some pictures of the new car I bought yesterday. It's a 1991 Toyota Celica GT-Four Grp A Rallye, which is the car that toyota used in the 1992-94 WRC (and won the constructors championship twice and the drivers all three years). I was really lucky to get this and its in really good condition, and its only done 125,00km which really is pretty low.

I had to drive it four hours home from Adelaide and it had absolutely no problems and was pretty comfortable.

Once downloaded simply unzip and place it in your "lfs"/data/engine folder, then ingame press shift+A to open sound editor and use "load" to load this sound - you must obviously be in FOX on track when you do this.

Would love to see what ...

Monday, 23rd March 2009

AusRaceSports has refocused and revised its direction after some general confusion with users regarding the previous multiclass racing format.

This will see a change to what is surely a true racers format, using the Formula XR single seater (FOX), with set qualifying periods before races that include complusory pitstops for all drivers.

In this nature of returning to a true drivers format, AusRaceSports has set some minimum driver requirements to encourage ...

My new XRT skin

Well I was bored and had nothing better to do so I decided to whip up a skin for the XRT.

Heres a link to the skin if you wish to use it http://img17.imageshack.us/img17/1466/xrtclitheroe.jpg

This was actually pretty easy to make. The main issue was trying to get the parts to line up across the different sections of the skin.

Also technically the font for the writing is wrong but it was close enough.

PROPOSED EVENT: XF-CupR 1 Hour Challenge of Aston Cadet

AusRaceSports is currently putting together plans for its first single race event, the XF-CupR 1 Hour Challenge of Aston Cadet.

This event would be open to a field of 18 drivers, who would all take to the grid in the XF-CupR spec cars currently seen running on the AusRaceSports server. These cars specifically are an XFR running a 20% intake restriction and carrying an added 30kg mass. The race, quite obviously, will take place ...
